The fashion show and luncheon, held at the Westin Hotel ballroom on May 23rd, 2008 was a huge success! Around thirty "models" got to have hair and makeup professional fussed over and for a moment at least, feel like they were in Milan or Paris. One by one they were introduced, their cancer details revealed and then with a lighthearted description of what they were wearing, the stars of the show walked out into the bright runway lights to the sound of wildly cheering family, friends and supporters.

Gilda's Club Seattle is a free cancer support community where men, women, and children living with cancer, their family and friends, come together for emotional, social, and educational support. Free of charge and nonprofit, Gilda's Club Seattle offers support and networking groups, lectures, workshops and social events in a nonresidential, homelike setting. Gilda's Club Seattle is supported by donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations.

Prints are $7 for a 5x7 and $12 for an 8x10. Postage is included.

Seattle photographer Maxwell Balmain donated his time and digital editing skills to document the event for Gilda's Club Seattle. Max was a former newspaper photojournalist and now spends his time doing commercial photography and web design.
